Loreta Ruiz

Associate Director, COVID-19 Response Program


Loreta Ruiz has an extensive history at Latino Health Access (LHA).  Prior to taking a leadership role as the Associate Director for the COVID-19 Response program, she also held the positions of Compliance Director, Fund Development and Communications Director, and Systems and Referrals Coordinator. Prior to joining the LHA family, Loreta worked as the Consul for Protection and Legal Affairs at the Consulate of Mexico in Santa Ana, which was her last post of a 31 year old diplomatic-consular career. Loreta holds a BA in Homeland Security from the University of Guadalajara and certifications on; domestic violence, human trafficking, children in dependency, unaccompanied minors, capital punishment, detainees, gender affairs, mental health, among others. 

Loreta co-owns a small family business with her two children Lore and Alejandro. She enjoys creating vegan recipes, crocheting, and embroidery.
