Lisette Martinez-Acebo

Program Director, Children and Youth Engagement


Lisette is a social worker, organizational innovator, and community empowerment advocate who is passionate about improving the well-being of youth, families, and communities historically in the margins. Lisette is a proud first-generation college graduate born and raised in Santa Ana, and has earned a Bachelors in Psychology from Chapman University, a Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California (USC), and is currently applying for a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at USC. 

Lisette’s career trajectory ranges from grassroots campaign work to clinical and direct service to management and coaching in educational settings. She is also on the board of a local nonprofit in Santa Ana that supports high school students interested in STEM to access college and career readiness opportunities. 

In her spare time, Lisette enjoys quality time with her family, attends rock en Espanol concerts, eats cross-cultural food, and travels with her husband and friends.
